Springtime for Germany!

September 20, 2007

My first impression of Germany is: brown brick. 95% of all the buildings I’ve seen today has been built with brown brick. Conclusion: german architects likes brown brick.

Otherwise it’s been nice so far. I haven’t seen very much yet. But tomorrow I’ll go explore Bergedorf and get lost some. I’ll start small, in the neighbourhood, and take Hamburg another day. It’s really nice to see Juliane and Fionna again!
And I’ll buy some postcards tomorrow and send people.

Otherwise my day pretty much sucked. It started allright in the morning, but Skavsta is the most boring airport I’ve ever been too. And I’ve seen afew. Also, the walls in the bar was painted PINK. BRIGHT PINK. Awful! Must be to make people drink more. Now- time to get in my pyjamas and drink a last cup of tea before bedtime!

*Yawn*

It’s early in the morning, atleast for me when I have a day off. I’m tired and my throath hurts, but I’m still in a good mood. Nothing has gone wrong yet! My bag is packed, my tea is hot and life is looking pretty good this far.
Since I’m awake anyway (I wasn’t planning on getting up ’till nine, but Nidde awoke me and I couldn’t go back to sleep) I’ll hit an earlier train to Stockholm. That way I’ll get to Skavsta earlier and have plenty of time to check in, have lunch and look around some. Not that airports are THAT exciting, but I’ve never been to Skavsta before. As Douglas Adams once wrote: "It is no coincidence that in no known language does the phrase ‘As pretty as an Airport’ appear."
